The Centre for African Progress (CAP) was founded in 2013 as a leadership and management consultancy firm. Other activities CAP engages in include opinion survey, domestic and foreign policy analysis, and manpower training. CAP is also a leader in social science research. A greater part of the research carried out by CAP is funded by an endowment fund that it shares with other similar entities around the world. This arrangement allows the company to avoid any form of manipulation by any party, thus providing the most reliable results in any area of research. The company is led by a board of directors who monitor the day to day operations of the company as pursued by the Chief Executive Office. CAP is found in 34 African countries, and plans are underway to cover the rest of the continent.
